The Fall season is usually a season when you begin to ask yourself how you've done this year, how far your business has come and what you can do to make it even better for the next year. I myself have gone through rebrands, big business decisions, and doubts about my own business process. It's completely natural!
When it comes to rebranding your business, we usually take this step because we feel we are not attracting the right client. Taking the time to work on your brand, and visual identity is a big investment but one that will have a huge impact on a business.
Have you been in that position of having your business for a year or two and you feel your brand is not working out the way you hoped for? Then I'm pretty sure you thought of rebranding and jumping on the process right away.
Once that thought crosses your mind, what should you do? Of course, you can find someone to help you get started, but before you start, there are a few things you can work on your own to have a better understanding of what your business will need in order for your new brand to be successful.
Most brand stylists and designers always go through a process where they will ask you or provide you with a set of questions regarding your business goals. These questions are essential when it comes to understanding your current needs and future goals are, without this process, you won't achieve the results you are looking for.
Either if you are working with a designer already, or looking to take a moment to think long and hard about what you will answer to the following questions. Be as honest as possible because this will have an impact on the final outcome.
Here are a few of the questions I ask all my clients and you can also use as a stepping stone to start honing down your goals for your own rebrand:
- Use 5 words to describe your business.
- What do you plan to achieve with your new brand?
- How has your business changed in the past year or two?
- How do you want people to see when they take the first look at your overall brand?
These are definitely not the only questions! A full brand and business questionnaire will cover a lot more but these four questions can open your eyes to the possibilities and give you a better understanding on what steps you need to take next!
Attract your ideal client, get noticed, showcase your awesome work, the possibilities are endless! Take advantage of this season, start setting up those goals and work hard towards them!
